The 20th Edition of DENTis, the International Congress for Students and Young Doctors DENTis, took place between 21st and 24th of March 2019, in Cluj-Napoca in “Iuliu Hațieganu” Hall on 23 Gheorghe Marinescu Street.

This edition of the DENTis Congress hosted 570 participants, out of which 328 students
were from “Iuliu Hațieganu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy Cluj-Napoca, 46 from București
University of Medicine and Pharmacy, 51 from Iași University of Medicine and Pharmacy, 39 from
Oradea Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy, 56 from Constanța University of Medicine and
Pharmacy, 11 from Arad Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy, 8 from Timișoara University of Medicine and Pharmacy, 37 from Târgu-Mureș University of Medicine and Pharmacy, 13 from Galați Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy, 6 students from Sibiu University of Medicine and
Pharmacy and one student from Chișinău University of Medicine and Pharmacy.
Prof. Dr. Radu Septimiu Câmpian was the president of the DENTis Congress. The Scientific
Committee was formed by Senior Lecturer Dr. Anca Mesaroș, Senior Lecturer Dr. Meda Simu, and Senior Lecturer Dr. Bogdan Crișan.
The Congress hosted a total of 20 conferences and 16 workshops. The conferences were
held by lecturers of Cluj-Napoca University of Medicine and Pharmacy: Dr. Adrian Petrutiu, Dr. Dinu Cristian, Dr. Radu Bulat, Dr. Stefan Jitaru. We were also pleased to welcome a few internationally and nationally renowned lecturers: Dr. Dan Lazar, Dr. Yuryi Vasiliev, Dr. Bora Korkut, dr. Radu Brata, Dr. Michele Melillo, CDT Cristian Peri, Dr. Alexandru Popescu, Dr. Vlad Nita, Dr. Roxana Ilici, Dr. Ana Stevanovic, Dr. Bjorn Dziedo, Dr. Vaiva Jakutye, Dr. Cristina Rizea, Dr. Silvia Per, Dr. Mariana Caramida.
Out of the many workshops held at DENTis Congress we can mention: Dental Photography, Local Anesthesia as an Art in Dentistry, Non-Surgical Periodontal Instrumentation, Posterior Restorations with the Latest Generation of Bulk Composites, Non- Carious Cervical Lesions at the Border of Odontology and Periodontology, Impression on the Implant with Open Tray and Closed Tray, How to Restore a Class IV Defect in an Easy Way, Types of Approach and Suture in Oral Implantology – Insertion of a Dental Implant under Conventional Conditions, DAM System Basics, Successful Shaping of the Endodontic Space, Invisalign, Zoom on White, Knots and Sutures, CBCT, Anatomically Shaped and Predictable Restorations in class II cavities, Techniques and Materials for Impression Taking, There is Always a Better Way to Brush.
Furthermore, within DENTis Congress, students that are passionate about research had
the opportunity to present the results of their scientific research during the Students’ Scientific
Presentations which included 2 sections: Preclinical and Clinical. The best of the presentations
were awarded during the Closing Gala.
The Opening Dinner took place at Adam’s Events, the social party of the second night at
the VIP Room of Cluj Arena and the Closing Dinner and Gala held place at Aroma
Restaurant.
