The International Congress of Dental Medicine for Students and Young Dentists, DENTis 2017, took place on 27th to 29th of April 2017, on 23 Gheorghe Marinescu street, in „Iuliu Hațieganu” Hall.

At this edition of the Congress 325 students attended, 158 from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Cluj-Napoca, 62 from University of Medicine and Pharmacy București, 26 from University of Medicine and Pharmacy Constanța, 17 from University of Medicine and Pharmacy Iași, 14 from Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy Oradea, 14 from Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy Sibiu, 10 from University of Medicine and Pharmacy Târgu-Mureș, 6 from Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy Galați, 5 from University of Medicine and Pharmacy Craiova, 5 from University of Medicine and Pharmacy Timișoara, 4 from University of Medicine and Pharmacy Chișinău and 2 from Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy Arad.
The president of the Congress was Prof. Dr. Radu Septimiu Câmpian, whereas the Scientific Committee was formed by Lecturer Dr. Sorina Sava, Lecturer Dr. Oana Almășan, Lecturer Dr. Alexandru Irimie, Lecturer Dr. Doina Rotaru, Lecturer Dr. Bogdan Crișan and Lecturer Dr. Cristian Olteanu.
The conferences were held by lecturers from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Cluj-Napoca, such as: Associate Prof. Dr. Simion Bran, Associate Prof. Dr. Viorica Țărmure, Associate Prof. Dr. Mihaela Hedeșiu, Associate Prof. Dr. Ada Delean, Dr. Ștefan Jitaru. The special guests were: Associate Prof. Dr. Anca Silvia Vâlceanu, (Timișoara), Prof. Dr. Emanuel Bratu, (Timișoara), and Raimond N.B. van Duinen, University of Amsterdam.
This year, 11 workshops were organized: “Coronal elongation, between aesthetics and functionality. Surgical technique”, “Sutures used in periodontology”, “Obtaining the ideal shape of the dental arches”, “ITOP introduction”, Stamp Technique – direct composite restorations on lateral teeth”, “CAD/CAM systems: applications in restorative medicine”, “Rotary preparation of root canals”, “Basic surgery skills”, “Rubber dam application”, “Impression: practical landmarks in modern dentistry”, “CBCT”.
The Opening Gala inner was held at Wonderland Restaurant, the social party was organized in the VIP Lounge at Cluj Arena and the Closing Gala Dinner took place at Chios Restaurant.
