The XXII edition of the International Congress of Dental Medicine for Students and Young Doctors DENTis 2022 took place from 31st of March – 2th of April 2022, this time physically.
The event was organized by the Organization of Dental Students from Cluj-Napoca, in partnership with the “Iuliu Hațieganu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy Cluj-Napoca, with sponsors: BioHorizon, Stomestet, MB DENTAL INSTITUTE, Bredent, Megagen, DigiRay, GSK, BKS Ingenieure, Ivoclar Vivadent, Terra Dent, Dr. Leahu, Septodont, NTT Data, Philips Sonicare, COLTENE, Curaprox, Durr Dental, Farmec, Dentamerica Distribuiton.
At this edition of the congress there were 400 participants, both from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Cluj-Napoca, and from other Universities of Medicine and Pharmacy in the country, such as: Bucharest, Iași, Oradea, Constanța, Arad, Timișoara, Târgu Mureș, Galați, Sibiu. Along with them, there were numerous foreign participants, all of whom could benefit from the conferences held in the Cluj Napoca University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hall, on Gheorghe Marinescu Street.
The President of the Congress was Prof. Univ. Dr. Mesaros Anca Ștefania, and members of the scientific commission were: Head of Work. Dr. Crisan Liana, Head of Work. Dr. Chisnoiu Andreea, Head of Work. Dr. Băbțan Anida-Maria, Assistant. Univ. Dr. Sîrbu Adina.
The conferences were held in English by national lecturers, such as: Dr. Aranka Iliea, Dr. Horațiu Rotaru, Dr. Cristian Dinu, Dr. Smaranda Buduru, Dr. Cosmin Ulman, Dr. Nichimiș Radu, Dr. Laurențiu Florică, Dr. Dan Patroi, TD. Willi Uriciuc, Dr. Bogdan Moldoveanu, Dr. Adrian Farangopol, Dr. Adrian Petruțiu, Dr. Vlad Băncescu, TD. Christian Petri. As an international speaker, he honored us with the presence of Dr. Mariusz Pietrzak.
As for the workshops, they were held during the 3 days of the congress, with topics covering all branches of dentistry. The invited speakers were both UMF Cluj teaching staff, as well as from the country and abroad. Among them, we mention: Dr. Marius Bud, Dr. Ștefan Jitaru, Dr. Adrian Petruțiu, Dr. Roșu Andreea, Dr. Laurențiu Florică, Dr. Diana Dudea, Dr. Alexandru Grecu, TD. Alexandru Burde, Dr. Camelia Roman, Dr. Dan Patroi, Dr. Dorin Filip, Dr. Dumitru Muntean, Dr. Mădălina Lazăr, Dr. Adrian Moga, Dr. Sanda Cîmpean, Dr. Sebastian Neatu, Dr. Toth Csaba, Cristian Sonea .
As in previous years, within the DENTis Congress, students passionate about research had the opportunity to present the results of their research in the scientific communications session which includes two sections: preclinical and clinical.
The 2022 edition brought a lot of prizes for the participants, these being in the form of giveaways held before the Congress, on the Instagram page, as well as physical prizes won in the raffles organized during the 3 days of workshops and conferences.
